Texture / Equipment / Application
Different fruit. Different inlet.
Start the project with the actual edible feed and the material you need to remove.
Apple and pear
Agree the core, peel and damaged-fruit boundaries along with maturity and feed condition. Those choices define what reaches the extraction and refining steps.
- Specify which fractions are retained.
- Include seasonal variation in trials.
- Review the actual coarse-material observations.
Mango and berries
A mango stone and peel separation problem differs from a berry seed or skin problem. Do not assume a common preparation device is suitable for both.
- Identify the fruit and cultivar where relevant.
- Describe the size and condition of unwanted material.
- Check the proposed equipment with representative samples.
Prepared purée
Document the upstream work already completed. New equipment should address a known receiving, formulation or finishing need.
- Request incoming specification and method.
- Confirm storage and reconditioning requirements.
- Avoid redundant extraction without a demonstrated purpose.
