Controlled blending

One or more defined purée streams or a formulation whose ingredient addition order and desired uniformity are known. Do not add dilution as an unrecorded adjustment.

The product handoff

What should leave this duty?

A mixed product sampled across an agreed batch or continuous boundary. Composition, temperature, air content and retained structure remain part of the target.

Variables to compare

Review the mixing arrangement, fill level, ingredient sequence and actual mixing endpoint. Select additional shear only when the formulation requires it.

02 / Equipment review

Where selection can go wrong

A uniform-looking surface does not demonstrate uniformity throughout a viscous vessel. Vigorous mixing can alter structure or draw in air; neither is automatically beneficial.

03 / Equipment review

Cleaning & inspection

Check access around agitator mounts, baffles where present, outlets and dosing connections. Define inspection and drainage for the actual vessel geometry.

04 / Equipment review

Installation & process interfaces

Confirm ingredient access, load support, dosing accuracy boundary, outlet elevation and how the transfer pump avoids pulling the vessel below its agreed operating level.

Evidence for the proposal

Request the vessel and agitator drawings, an actual mixing demonstration and sampling positions that show why the proposed endpoint is meaningful.
